About this limited edition photograph:

The blended/stacked photograph “Grizzly Campsite- Stars” was created in the Yellow River State Forest in northeast Iowa.

Grizzly Campsite- Stars is a commissioned photograph for Grizzly Coolers out of Decorah, Iowa.

Comprised of (6) exposures (ranging from 1/2 – 10 seconds in exposure length, ISO-1000 – ISO-1600, and all f/3.2) for the foreground and a single 20-second exposure (f/3.2 and ISO-1600) for the sky/stars.

I created this blended/stacked photograph by setting up my Canon 80d camera with a Tokina AT-X 116 PRO DX II lens on a tripod. I used my ElSpeleo Rescue 2200 caving headlamp to light paint the tree, stumps, hatchet, and cooler. I placed a cheap LED flashlight inside my tent to illuminate it within. I photographed the stars, and then I captured a photograph of the fire pit at the very end. 

I blended all seven photographs together using Photoshop, and the resulting image is Grizzly Campsite- Stars.
